School of the Arts, Universiti Sains Malaysia (SOTA USM) proudly congratulates two Product Design students for their outstanding achievement in being selected as Top 10 Finalists in the MIFF Furniture Design Competition (FDC) 2026 🏆 — a highly competitive platform with international recognition.
The students are:
👏 Prathiin Saravanamuthu — STACKABLOCK
👏 Zulhelmi Naim bin Mohamad Sharif — TETRAMANIA: LEVEL UP
Both finalists will advance to the final round this March, where the Top 10 designers will compete head-to-head for the coveted title of MIFF FDC 2026 Winner. This achievement marks a significant milestone, reflecting the students’ creativity, innovation, and strong design thinking on a global stage 🌍.
The Malaysian International Furniture Fair (MIFF) is Southeast Asia’s largest furniture trade show, organised by Informa Markets, part of Informa PLC, the world’s largest B2B events organiser. Held annually every March in Kuala Lumpur, MIFF is a UFI-approved event that brings together trusted manufacturers from Malaysia, ASEAN, and across the globe with international buyers, solidifying its position as the region’s leading furniture sourcing platform.
This recognition highlights the excellence of Product Design education at SOTA USM, where students are nurtured to think critically, design responsibly, and compete confidently at an international level.
