Music Pedagogy Workshop @ Universiti Sains Malaysia: Advancing Structured Music Learning

School of The Arts at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) is set to host an inspiring and practice-driven Music Pedagogy Workshop titled “Developing Structured Music Learning: From Early Musicianship to Theory and Piano Studies.” This engaging session will take place at Peseban Agung, School of The Arts USM, Penang on Monday, 18 May 2026, from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm (inclusive of a tea break).
This workshop brings together two highly experienced educators in music pedagogy:
- Ng Ying Ying, Founder of POCO Studio
- Alethia Ngo, Early Childhood Musicianship (ECS) Co-Author and graduate of the Kodály Institute
Participants can look forward to a dynamic exploration of structured pathways in music education, focusing on the seamless progression from early childhood musicianship to music theory and piano studies. The session is designed to equip educators and learners with practical strategies, pedagogical insights, and adaptable frameworks that support long-term musical development.
